In September,2023, Commissioners from the Ministry of Health; Dr Driwale Alfred, the Assistant Commissioner of health Services: Vaccines & Immunization and Dr Richard Kabanda, the acting Commissioner Health promotion, Education and Health Communication inspected Kalisizo hospital and applauded the health workers for their endless efforts in improving health services in the entire district. 

They assured the health workers that they were to receive a brand new standby generator in a space of two weeks with a capacity to serve the facility, an oxygen plant and an x-ray machine before the closure of the 2023/2024 financial year. 

The officials said the oxygen plant will need a transformer of its own, a task that was left to the district officials before works begin. The contractor responsible for procuring the x-ray machine had already been secured according to Dr Kabanda and he assured the hospital management that before the financial year ends, the x-ray machine will have been availed at the facility.

The Health workers were urged to avoid abscondment and continue being competent so as to increase the level of service delivery in the health sector.
