In one of our campaigns to keep the environment safe and the natural resources in Kyotera district, the Natural Resources Officer, Mr Jamil Kiyingi, the Environment Officer Mr Gaddafi Ssekajugo, the Forest Officer Mr Micheal Ngolobe, the Physical Planner Ms Nakaliiri Olivia and the Communications Officer Mr Musasizi Ambrose went to Bootera wetland and evicted farmers who had encroached on the wetland.

Farmers in this wetland had blocked water whereas the available water sources had been contaminated with pestcides which can have a great negative effect on the lives of people in our area. All residents in different areas of Kyotera are urged to vacate wetlands, natural forests so that we can have a better environment.
